Beyond ChaRM: The Future of SAP Change. Find out how we can help!

Customer conversations are everything! My key takeaway from Mastering SAP Collaborate 2025

A couple of weeks ago, I travelled up to Sydney with the Rev-Trac team for Mastering SAP Collaborate 2025, an SAP TechEd on Tour event. It was a great couple of days filled with conversations with customers, prospects, and partners. But one conversation really stuck with me.

I was speaking with a global customer who has been using Rev-Trac for over 10 years. They told me they love using Rev-Trac (I believe “Rev-Trac is my favourite tool” was their exact words), but they explained that they’ve pretty much used Rev-Trac the same way for years. This represented a challenge because next year they’re heading into a major digital transformation, which will be a period of rapid innovation and change.

For them, Rev-Trac has remained consistent, providing them with safe, predictable outcomes for managing their BAU change processes. But now, entering this new phase, they wanted to know what else Rev-Trac can do for them, and if they could be taking advantage of any new features.  More importantly, they wanted to be confident that they could maintain the level of governance and reliability they have depended on for years.

Off the back of this one conversation, we organised a workshop to walk them through the newer capabilities designed to assist them during their transformation, and what’s coming on the roadmap to support them as they look to embrace emerging SAP technologies.

Where organizations need clarity most: SAP RISE, Cloud ERP and Cloud ALM

Another theme that kept coming up was SAP RISE and the move to Cloud ERP. The conversations were centred around how Rev-Trac can support them during this time. These shifts can be challenging, as change at this scale is never easy, and customers want to be reassured their changes will be aligned and controlled across their on-prem and Cloud environments during the transition period.

It also gave us a chance to talk about how we are partnering with the SAP Cloud ALM team as SAP expands its partner ecosystem. SAP is relying on partners to extend its Cloud ALM’s capabilities in complex or niche scenarios, and Rev-Trac Platinum is helping fill those gaps in the change governance space, especially for those organizations operating in complex or highly regulated environments.

Helping customers unlock more from what they already have

It got me thinking. How many organizations are in the same situation, using Rev-Trac the same way for years without realizing how much more it can help automate, streamline, and safeguard their processes?

That one conversation in Sydney was a good reminder that even long-term customers don’t always know what’s possible. Sometimes the most valuable thing we can do is help them see what they already have in a new light.

For me, it highlighted how important it is to stay close to our customers. Nothing beats a face-to-face conversation to understand business priorities, challenges and projects shaping their world. My key takeaway is simple, by staying connected through regular catchups and open conversations, we can show what’s possible with Rev-Trac and better support organizations as their SAP landscapes continue to evolve.
