Summary
Conversations with customers often reveal the most important insights about how organizations use software. At Mastering SAP Collaborate 2025, one discussion highlighted a common theme: many organizations use Rev-Trac the same way for years without realizing how much more it can support their evolving SAP landscapes.
As organizations prepare for a digital transformation, Rise with SAP, and the move to Cloud ERP, they want confidence that their SAP change management processes will remain governed, automated, and reliable. Staying close to customers helps uncover these needs and ensures organizations can unlock the full value of their existing solutions.
A conversation with a long-time partner
A couple of weeks ago, I travelled up to Sydney with the Rev-Trac team for Mastering SAP Collaborate 2025, an SAP TechEd on Tour event.
It was a great couple of days filled with conversations with customers, prospects, and partners.
But one conversation really stuck with me.
I was speaking with a global customer who has been using Rev-Trac for over 10 years. They told me they love using Rev-Trac (I believe “Rev-Trac is my favourite tool” were their exact words), but they explained that they’ve pretty much used Rev-Trac the same way for years.
This represented a challenge because next year they’re heading into a major digital transformation, which will be a period of rapid innovation and change.
For them, Rev-Trac has remained consistent, providing them with safe, predictable outcomes for managing their BAU change processes. But now, entering this new phase, they wanted to know what else Rev-Trac can do for them, and if they could be taking advantage of any new features.
More importantly, they wanted to be confident that they could maintain the level of governance and reliability they have depended on for years.
After that conversation, we organised a workshop to walk them through the newer Rev-Trac capabilities to assist their transformation. We also revealed what’s coming on the road map to support them as they embrace emerging SAP technologies.
Where organizations need clarity most: SAP RISE, Cloud ERP and Cloud ALM
Another theme that kept coming up was SAP RISE and the move to Cloud ERP. The conversations were centred around how Rev-Trac can support them during this time.
These shifts can be challenging, as change at this scale is never easy, and customers want to be reassured their changes will be aligned and controlled across their on-prem and Cloud environments during the transition period.
It also gave us a chance to talk about how we are partnering with the SAP Cloud ALM team as SAP expands its partner ecosystem. SAP is relying on partners to extend its Cloud ALM’s capabilities in complex or niche scenarios. Rev-Trac helps fill gaps in change governance, especially for organizations with complex landscapes or highly regulated environments.
Helping customers unlock more from what they already have
It got me thinking. How many organizations use Rev-Trac in the same way for years without realizing how much more it can deliver.
Rev-Trac is in place, yet organizations may not fully explore how much more it can help automate, streamline, and safeguard their processes.
Sometimes the most valuable thing we can do is help them see what they already have in a new light.
The real takeaway
That one conversation in Sydney reinforced an important lesson.
Even long-term customers don’t always know what’s possible with a tool they already use.
Staying close to customers is important. Nothing beats a face-to-face conversation to understand business priorities, challenges and projects shaping their world.
My key takeaway from Mastering SAP Collaborate is simple:
Staying connected through regular catchups and open conversations enables us to help organizations unlock more value from Rev-Trac and better support them as their SAP landscapes continue to evolve.
